FPT Telecom launches the construction of Vietnam's biggest data center
May 4, 2020 Vietnam's largest data center by FPT Telecom International (FTI) under FPT Telecom was commenced in Saigon Hi-Tech Park, District 9, HCMC.
This data center (with an area of 10,000 m2 and 3,600 racks) is the first data center in Vietnam to be designed to meet LEED's strict standards. The Data Center will use the latest DRUPS technology which is being applied in the most modern Data Centers in the world. This technology does not use batteries; thus, it is contributing to environmental protection and ensures a high reliability for important cloud computing.
FPT Corporation CEO Nguyen Van Khoa, BOD of FPT and distinguished guests performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Data Center. After its completion, this will be the largest Data Center in Vietnam

At the ground-breaking ceremony of Data Center, it's our pleasure to have Ms. Truong Thanh Thanh (Member of FPT Founding Council), Ms. Le Bich Loan (Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-tech Park Management Board), Mr. Nguyen Tuan Hung (CEO FPT HCM) and Mr. Vu Anh Tu (Deputy General Director of FPT Telecom).

The new data center of FPT Telecom will gain Uptime Tier III certification, this is the most prestigious evaluation system in the world for design, construction, operation, management and stability of Data Center services range from low to high levels (Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV).

Data Center in Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park has an 8-stories design scale, built on an area of 10,000 m2 and provided 3,600 racks (equipment storage cabinets), strictly complying with international management and operation certificates. The project is expected to be completed after 305 days (quarter I / 2021).
FPT Telecom currently has two large-scale Data Centers that comply strictly with all international standards for Data Center management and operation and located in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. FPT Telecom is expected to open two new Data Centers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with the ability to provide infrastructure in the first phase of 1,250 racks in Hanoi and 1,000 racks in Ho Chi Minh City. The upcoming operation of 2 new Data Centers will make FPT Telecom become the largest Data Center Services Provider in Vietnam. In November 2019, Frost & Sullivan, a market research organization, honored the leading companies in Asia at their annual awards held in Singapore. FPT Telecom was awarded as "Vietnam Data Center Service Provider of the year 2019".
